Applying Reusable Graphics on Your Scooter

Installing graphics on your scooter used to be a tough decision. With the thought of having a great design comes the nagging feeling that there may come a time that you would want to remove or replace it. The problem with permanent scooter design is that if you try to remove it, two things can happen: either the sticker gets ruined, or it leaves a sticky adhesive that would eventually get messy with dirt. Your scooter would then be a bothersome sight. The only way to remove that dirt is to cover it up with another sticker.

However, that problem is history with the advent of reusable sticker graphics for you scooter. A lot of motorcycle shops offer scooter graphics that can be removed with no trouble once you get tired of them. One good thing about these graphics is that they don’t leave any stain when you remove it.

Don’t think that just because they are reusable and removable, they would easily peel off even without you trying to. It simply means you can remove reusable motorcycle graphics easily, compared to trying to remove permanent graphics.

Motorcycle and scooter shops offer tons of designs that you can choose from. They would also give you the step by step instructions on how to properly install your scooter graphics. There are also those who are kind enough to do it for you if you are really clueless.

Most reusable motorcycle graphics are printed on vinyl plastic strips. Some are long enough to be placed on the body of your auto. Plasticizers are added for the adhesion of the vinyl plastic to any smooth surface. You don’t have to worry if the part you want to apply the design to is just small because you can simply cut the strips that would fit the part where you want to put them.

Before applying reusable scooter graphics, you could do well to remember that these designs are plastic; hence you cannot place them in the parts where it will be exposed to extreme heat. Being plastic, they have a tendency to melt away. If they don’t melt, your scooter design would develop wave-like crumples that is still due to heat.

Once you have decided where to add the sticker, the first thing you ought to do is clean that part. If the part is dirty, or has oil or wax, the scooter graphics may not stick well. Use a hair blower to slightly warm the area and the graphics. Make sure you use just the low heat level of the blower or the graphics may melt of crumple.

Now slowly add the graphics, stretching it a bit as you do so that the sticker will adhere smoothly and perfectly. If you notice that it was stuck the wrong way or you still want to adjust it, you can simply peel it off and add it again. It would be best if it is still a little warm

Applying scooter graphics is so easy, that is why it is very appealing to most scooter owners. Anyone can do it.
